Dr. Valcarcel recognizes the importance of manipulative therapy and specific adjustments in both the spine and extremities, but also believe that addressing the soft tissue, as well as neurological mechanisms, are both an important and often overlooked component to comprehensive care.  In addition to spinal adjustments and manipulative therapy, he will often use techniques that include facilitated stretching, myofascial release, RockTape, exercise based therapies and will educate patients on WHY they might feel the way they feel.

 

Dr. Valcarcel considers himself a life-long learner.  He has accrued countless hours of post-graduate education, and trained with the experts, in other areas including but not limited to: advanced biomechanics/kinesiology and rehabilitation, joint manipulation, soft tissue manipulation, functional movement assessments, strength and conditioning, blood chemistry analysis, pain neurophysiology and pain modulation, and clinical nutrition.

 

Dr. Valcarcel is currently the only Certified Primary Spine Practitioner in Central Florida and prides himself on being a problem solver and providing evidence-based, patient-centered care.  He recognizes when referrals are necessary and has no hesitation about referring a patient to a trusted health professional when necessary.
